I felt like doing some speed-painting today for no concrete reason. This took about 1.5 hours and is pretty different from my usual style. I took this photo in... not the best lighting, shall we say, and as if that's not bad enough I used my cell phone camera, so basically it's not the ideal representation of this piece but you get the idea anyway (I hope). I also added some jewels to it 'cause I thought that could be fun & sparkly & festive.

bugs & balloons

Normally I HATE bugs and find them disgusting, but they're also really interesting to draw! Throwin' in the really rough sketch too so you guys can see how it looked before I made it fancy n' bright.

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! New, TRADITIONAL art (finally) coming soon, as I am currently beginning my fervent preparations for the upcoming exhibit I'll be participating in at the beginning of October (tune in for further details and updates). Get ready for a major gear shift. Until next time!
