I felt like doing some speed-painting today for no concrete reason. This took about 1.5 hours and is pretty different from my usual style. I took this photo in... not the best lighting, shall we say, and as if that's not bad enough I used my cell phone camera, so basically it's not the ideal representation of this piece but you get the idea anyway (I hope). I also added some jewels to it 'cause I thought that could be fun & sparkly & festive.

PROGRESS

This picture isn't done but it's pretty damn close...so I thought I'd post how it's coming along! Part of a new painting series of 4 30"x20" (ish? I forget the actual measurement and don't have a ruler...but anyway). It's always daunting coming back to acrylic paint after being out of practice for a few months, but also very exciting once everything starts coming together and I realize I haven't forgotten how to do it.
